Super 8 Motel

During our last semester at VCU Brandcenter, as one of our final assignments, Kevin Fitz and I created a campaign for Super 8 Motel. We really liked thinking about this no-frills motel in a different way. I paired that sentiment with a neon lettering look, and these prints won us the Communication Arts Award of Excellence as well as a spot in the Communication Arts magazine.

Maybe the truth of a simple motel is that it truly offers the basics, that’s it. 80% of the time you're in a hotel room, you're sleeping. So it doesn't really matter what that room looks like, or what amenities there are.
